We have added the Modbus protocol to the Constructor. You can create your own simple PLC. Add inexpensive Modbus I/O modules (We are currently using Waveshare for testing) to your computer, create the control circuit with the Constructor and then control real world devices with your Constructor. Watch the video to help get you going with this beta version.

Since I need my Constructor 16 serial number to install the Constructor 16.5 Beta version, where do I find it?
Open your Constructor 16, then click Help - About the Constructor. You will see your serial number listed there.

Can I install the beta version and keep my full version installed also?
Yes, the beta version is installed in a totally different location than the Constructor 16 full version.

How long will the beta version run?
The beta version will run for up to 30 days (See valid till date with the installation file), if you want more time to test it just re-install it for another 30 days.

Modbus is a serial communication protocol developed in 1979 by Modicon for industrial automation. It enables client-server communication between devices like PLCs, sensors, and controllers over serial lines, Ethernet, or wireless networks.
