We moved them to the Properties Tab on the right side screen. If the right screen is not visible, click on the arrow at the middle right side of your screen.
Make sure you have a check in the Drawing Layer Visible box. When you uncheck this box all drawing objects and tools will be inaccessible.
If your Grid layer is locked, you will not be able to move or add new symbols. Make sure the lock box is unchecked.
Yes, simply right click on the symbol and select Set Connecting Line Styles. In this window you can select which wires you want to change to dashed.
If you right click on the template you need to make sure that the AUTO RESIZE TO GRID feature was not checked. If this box is checked, any drawing objects will expand to match the new grid spacing. To get back to normal you must re insert the template into your diagram.
If you have the INCLUDE RUNG NUMBERS check in the ENVIRONMENT OPTIONS or if you have filled below with rung number symbols, it will automatically place rung symbols all the way down your diagram. You will need to go to the end of your diagram and simply delete a few rung number symbols which will free up rung space.
No, It's supposed to look like this. It's just showing that your diagram size is smaller than the screen viewing area at the 20% zoom level.
Yes. When you insert a transformer, right click on the symbol and then a window will appear that will allow you to change the labeling.
This is more than likely a security issue, here are a few things to try.
1. Un-install or remove the program and then re-install by right clicking on the install file and select "Run as Admin" then install the program.
2. If that doesn't work, try installing for All Users when you install (Step 1).
3. If still not starting correctly, try running the software by right clicking on the desktop icon and select "Run as Admin" to start the program.
4. If still not working, give us a call and we can help figure out the issue.
This is more than likely a scale and layout settings issue.
1. Right click on desktop, select display settings then check the Scale and Layout settings, should be set at 100%, not 125% or 150%. Now try to start the program.
2. If you need thing to appear larger on your screen, you can lower the screen resolution.
3. If still not working, give us a call and we can help figure out the issue.
Easy, give us a call at 1-406-293-3616 or 1-406-293-4977 and we'll look you up in our database and then send you an email with a download link for your software. (Constructor, Residential Wire Pro and Instructor only)

More Information No books, but we did a Constructor version for a book Frank Petruzella wrote for McGraw Hill. It's called "Electric Motors and Control Systems". It's popular in motor control classes across the US and Canada. The third edition of the book/software came out in 2020.
Basically the software is for one person. If you want to install it on your home and work computer we don't have a problem with that as long as its not being used by two people at the same time.
You need to have at least 1 power circuit and have it selected (Left side tree) for your symbols to show at the bottom of the editing screen. To select a circuit, move your mouse over it and left click your mouse. The circuit should now be selected and have a blue background.
No, not at this time. We do hope to add this feature in the future.
We will be making more videos in the future. In the meantime we have some simple PDFs on these subjects:
PDF Background, PDF Export, Printing, Take-off, Adding Items to the Database, Adding Circuits to Power, Adding Inventory to a Symbol, Other New Features.
Click on the menu item (Background Image) Select the page you want the background image on. Another screen will appear (Background Image Editor) Click Browse for Image (Top right side). Select your PDF file. Make any adjustments (Size, position, etc.) and click OK
You may need to set the backgound DPI settings lower. If it's set to 300 try 250 or 200.

A site license allows a school or training facility to install the software on unlimited computers at one physical site. This would include all locations at a college campus, but not multiple campuses in different towns. Please call us about multiple campus discounts. Constructor Site licenses are perpetual licenses. A 1 year maintenance plan is included with all site license purchases. Optionally, it may be renewed yearly.

This is a 1 year license that allows unlimited install at one campus plus installs for students enrolled at that campus. It also allows schools that have the capabilities (Remote Desktop, VDI, etc.) to allow students to remotely access software on a schools server.
We have electrical/electronic/hydraulic reference posters and cards.

Constructor Site License - $3000.00
We have designed our Constructor Site licensing to be simple, upfront and equitable. Your initial purchase entitles you to perpetual use of the software, and includes 1 year of software maintenance – access to new software releases/enhancements, technical Support team, critical bug fixes, and security patches – from the date of purchase. While renewing your software maintenance annually is optional, it is strongly encouraged in order to ensure continuous access to all of the benefits listed above.
NOTE: Site License Maintenance is only available for our Constructor Site Licenses.
Software maintenance, included in your first year of use, gives you the following benefits:
Security patches
Critical bug fixes
New features & enhancements
Any New software releases
Access to Support team for technical troubleshooting
In order for your software maintenance to remain active year-round, you must purchase it annually.
Constructor Site license maintenance costs $995 per year.
All site licenses include 1 year of software maintenance – access to new software releases/enhancements, technical Support team, critical bug fixes, and security patches. Beyond this initial period, we strongly encourage renewing your software maintenance every 12 months at our renewal pricing.
If you do not renew your maintenance plan, our obligation to provide technical support services and updates of your Constructor software is terminated on your maintenance plan expiration date. The software will continue to function and we will provide non-priority email tech support.
If your maintenance plan lapses (There is a 30 day grace period), then you are subject to a support reinstatement Fee of $250, in addition to the maintenance plan renewal costs.
Renewals backfill to the original date of expiration. Meaning, if your maintenance plan expired 5 months ago, and you purchase 1-year maintenance plan renewal today, your maintenance plan will expire 7 months from today, not 12 months. If your maintenance plan expired 15 months ago, you must purchase a 2-year renewal today, and your maintenance plan will expire 9 months from today, not 24 months. So, it is best not to let your maintenance plan expire.
No, our site licenses are perpetual licenses that are everlasting and valid if the software is being used in accordance with the license-agreement requirements.
